Northwest Vermont Public Transit Network (NVPTN) Inc. was incorporated in 1991. It is a private non-profit organization dedicated to providing transportation services to the elderly and disabled in Franklin and Grand Isle Counties as well as medical trips to Medicaid eligible residents. In addition NVPTN provides several general public transit routes for job access and essential needs.

The Northwest Vermont Public Transit Network is part of the Vermont Public Transit Association and works with VPTA members. Vermont Public Transit Association members are: Advance Transit Inc, Addison County Transit Resource, Connecticut River Transit, Deerfield Valley Transit Association, Green Mountain Transit Agency, Marble Valley Regional Transit District, Rural Community Transportation and Stagecoach Transportation Services.
